When should I use mink oil or Dubbin vs Renovateur?Updated 6 months ago

It's going to take some visual discretion for this. If the shoes have been untouched for quite some time (i.e. 1-2+ years) then you may consider using Dubbin Graisse or Mink Oil to restore them. But if it's only been a few to several months, then Renovateur should be sufficient. The two former conditioners are very strong and should do the trick without adding Renovateur. But again, that's something you'll need to eyeball.

*Please note* - Dubbin and Mink Oil can potentially darken lighter colored leathers.
