At Kirby Allison, we work closely with our manufacturer in Asia to ensure each hanger meets our high-quality standards. Since our hangers are custom-made in large quantities, the entire process—from placing the order to receiving the finished product—takes approximately 4-6 months. After production, the hangers are shipped to our Tennessee distribution center, where they are carefully processed and prepared for sale.


The Manufacturing Process

Each batch of our Luxury Garment Hangers begins with our trusted manufacturer, located in Asia. We place orders in large quantities to minimize production costs and ensure we have a sufficient supply of each size and type of hanger. However, it can be challenging to predict which products will sell out fastest, which sometimes leads to temporary stock shortages. Once the order is placed, production begins, and the manufacturer follows our exacting specifications to craft each hanger to perfection. This stage alone can take several months, depending on the complexity of the order and the production schedule.


Shipping and Processing

Once the hangers are completed, they must be shipped to our distribution center in Tennessee. International shipping adds another layer of time to the process. Typically, shipments travel by sea, which adds several weeks to the timeline. Upon arrival in the U.S., the hangers are processed through customs before being sent to our warehouse for distribution. Our team in Tennessee inspects each shipment to ensure it meets the highest quality standards before making them available to our customers.


Impact of Recent Port Strikes

Unfortunately, port strikes on the West Coast have affected the timing of our current shipment. These strikes have caused delays in the unloading and processing of shipments, extending the restocking time beyond the usual 4-6 months. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you're eagerly awaiting our hangers, and we appreciate your patience.
