Why is there a white residue on my shoes after applying conditioner?Updated 3 months ago
Textured leather can often present challenges during the care process. When applying Saphir Renovateur, the product may seep into the pores of the leather and accumulate, leading to excess wax build-up. This build-up is the primary cause of the white residue you’ve noticed on your boots. To remove this residue, we recommend using Saphir Reno Leather Cleaner or Reno'Mat. For textured leather, using a dauber brush tends to be more effective than a chamois cloth, as it can reach deeper into the leather's surface.
To prevent this issue from occurring again, it's important to buff the boots lightly with our pig bristle brush immediately after applying Renovateur. This will help redistribute the product evenly across the surface, avoiding any excess build-up before it dries. Regular brushing as part of your care routine will help maintain the texture and appearance of your boots, ensuring they remain in excellent condition.
